Lusardi is an accomplished guitarist who specialises in Spanish
flamenco guitar, touring internationally with various world music artists.
He began his studies in classical guitar with Marcela Sfriso at a young
age in his hometown of Buenos Aires, Argentina. There he also studied
under the guidance of flamenco guitarist Manolo Yglesias with whom he
also performed across Argentina. Since then Ignacio has continued his
studies in Spain with maestros Gerardo Nuñez, Juan Manuel Cañizares,
Jose Antonio Rodriguez and Manolo Sanlúcar.
His most recent project is a collaboration with Iraqi oud player Ahmed
Mukhtar which explores the connection between traditional Arabic and
Andalusian music. Upcoming engagements for the duo include
performances at the Babylon International Festival of Arts & Cultures in
Iraq, the Gnaoua World Music Festival in Morocco, Bahrain, Dubai, the
Iraqi cultural institutes in New York City and Washington D.C. and
various venues in London.
Currently Ignacio is based in London and works intensely with a
number of performers in Europe and South America. He has
collaborated and performed with groups such as The Baroque
Orchestra San José de Chiquitos (Bolivia), the Chamber Choir of Seville
(Spain), the Spanish singer Carmen Flores and the Flores family,
Ensemble Molière (England) and Les Antics (Argentina/Switzerland).
Ignacio is also an experienced producer, having recorded over 100
records of various musical genres in studios in Buenos Aires and
London including flamenco, classical, folk and popular music.
