Pianist KIMBALL GALLAGHER has risen to prominence as one of the most dynamic
and multifaceted artists on the musical stage today. His sensitive insights at the keyboard, coupled
with his singular entrepreneurial sensibilities, have enabled him to explore a broad scope of
creative endeavors.
Hailed by critics as a "dynamo," whose performance was "sunlit and rapturous" and "like a lightning
bolt," Gallagher's sold?out 2008 debut at Carnegie Hall launched his international 88Concert
which seeks to revive salon culture through 88 performances in a variety of intimate venues. This
unique four?year tour continues to gain momentum with performances in private homes
throughout the United States, and distinguished venues all over the world, including the
Afghanistan National Institute of Music in Kabul, the United Nations, a special performance for the
Tunisian government, the home Uma Thurman, Nicola Bulgari, and venues in Tunisia, Shanghai,
Taipei, Mongolia, Hanoi, Bangkok, France, Germany, Italy, and Turkey.
Each private home concert creates an unparalleled forum for dialogue between artist and listener,
inviting audiences into a unique live performance experience. Gallagher's audiences experience
intimacy with music's beauty, emotion and inspiration, surrounded by the warmth and familiarity
of friends, family, and colleagues. As a gift, each concert host receives a personalized piano work
written for them using a compositional system to spell out musical notes to match their name; the
world?premiere is given in their home. His prelude for the King of Thailand and the Siam Society will be
published in Siam Society Journal and presented to King Bhumibol as a celebration of his seventh cycle. This
tour will culminate in a 2013 Celebration Concert at Carnegie Hall in New York City.

A native of Boston, Kimball Gallagher earned his undergraduate degree at Rice University in the studio
of Jeanne Kierman-Fischer,and his Master of Music degree as a pupil of Robert McDonald at TheJuilliard School.
His life- long mentor, pianist Joseph Smith, is a mainstay of his musical development. A resident of New York City,
he enjoys composing, writing and exploring various musical genres.
